Tech Alert: OnTheHub to replace software.drexel.edu

For over 20 years, software.drexel.edu has been our platform to provide software for academic use to students, faculty, and professional staff on personal devices. However, with an increasing variety of new and complex methods for licensing and distributing software, it's essential to have a platform that can support the different requirements from each developer.
Starting today, we're excited to introduce OnTheHub as our new platform to distribute academic software and licenses for personal devices. In addition to a wide variety of discounted academic software already available from OnTheHub, you can now download software licensed by Drexel for personal devices from our web store at no cost or discounted prices.
To get started, go to DrexelOne, sign in with Drexel Connect, and then go to CAMPUS+COMMUNITY > OnTheHub: Online Store. Software licensed by Drexel is available from the OnTheHub Institutional Software tab.

Notes:
- Software and license keys available from OnTheHub are licensed for academic use on personal devices. If you're faculty or professional staff and need software for your Drexel-managed PC or Mac, you must install your software from Software Center for Windows or Self Service for macOS.
- Software license keys can't be shared in syllabi or BB Learn course content for compliance with our license agreements. Faculty, professional staff, and students must obtain their own license keys from OnTheHub.
- Software is available for active faculty, professional staff, and students. If you leave Drexel, you're responsible for removing university-licensed software from your personal devices as soon as possible.
- You can continue to access software.drexel.edu until September 9, 2024.
