Updates of Canvas Service Disruption

Drexel has been notified that access to the Canvas learning management system has been restored after an outage last evening that affected its users across the country.
As a precaution, members of the University community are advised to use caution when interacting with any unverified Canvas-related messages, links, pop-ups or other suspicious content. Users should avoid clicking suspicious links or providing credentials through unofficial channels. Drexel will only communicate Canvas-related guidance through official University channels.
We acknowledge the inconvenience, frustration and stress that inevitably come with a disruption like this. As you are likely aware, this outage was related to a cyberattack on Instructure, the company that owns and operates Canvas. Drexel is in close communication with Instructure to monitor the situation and will provide updates as new information becomes available.
