The discussions will be led by Andrew Marx, Director of Academic and Research Technology, and Justin Mignone, Assistant Director of Technical Services, both from Drexel IT. Our aim is to facilitate an open exchange of information about Drexel’s research and computing services, discuss new resources and coming changes to existing ones, and gather ideas for making the user experience more responsive to our academic needs.
Many Drexel colleges and schools have dedicated computing and lab staff who specialize in serving the more advanced and niche technical needs of our academic programs. Drexel IT continues to provide reliable common services to our entire campus, and we recognize the importance of working alongside our distributed academic IT partners to provide students, instructors, and researchers the tools they need in a secure and productive way. To that end, questions or concerns related to classrooms, meeting spaces, or services that are managed by individual colleges will be passed along after the discussions to the appropriate teams.
We will do our best to address any issues presented, but Tech Talk Thursdays won’t replace existing support channels. Please continue to work with your college or school’s IT department or helpdesk@drexel.edu to resolve day-to-day computer problems.
Our Instructional Technology Group continues to provide regular trainings for many common pieces of software used at Drexel, such as Blackboard, Qualtrics, Camtasia, and Office. Our Instructional Media Services team continues to support the A/V needs of university classrooms.
