Software Center for Windows
Please Note: This service is only available to Drexel-owned and managed PCs.
Through the Software Center application for Drexel-owned PCs, faculty and professional staff can download necessary software and receive software and security updates from Drexel IT. Software Center is deployed to freshly imaged and re-imaged Windows machines.
To verify that you have the Software Center application installed, navigate to Start > All Programs/All Apps > Microsoft System Center. You should see an application within that folder called Software Center. Open the application, and choose to install the software you need. The software listed may differ from user to user.
Software Center manages the Windows Update process for Drexel-owned and managed computers. Although this process is automated and usually runs outside of normal business hours, it's a good idea to check the Updates tab on Software Center every once in a while to make sure that your computer is up-to-date.
If you do not see the Software Title you are looking for, it is possible that it may not be available to you. Check with your IT Support Contact if they directed you to Software Center, and they should be able to verify the Software you are looking for is scoped out to you.
If you do not see Software Center installed, or have other questions, please contact IT at firstname.lastname@example.org with your Computer Name. If your computer is managed by the College of Engineering or the College of Medicine, please contact your respective support group for assistance.
