For Graduate Students - Spring Quarter 2022

Welcome new graduate students and welcome back returning students! 


As we begin the spring term, the Graduate College would like to remind you of a few important academic policies, dates, deadlines and resources to help you navigate your academic program. We recommend you bookmark this information for future reference. 


Please continue to refer to Drexel’s Response to Coronavirus website for the latest guidance on masking, vaccination, FAQs, and for contact information should you have any questions. 


Graduate College Operations 


The Graduate College office on the 3rd floor of the Main Building (Main 301) is open for student services between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday. We offer free filtered cold and hot water for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate for graduate students. Please contact us via email at graduatecollege@drexel.edu for questions or to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome to check in using the kiosk at the front desk. 


The Graduate Student Lounge on the lower level of Main Building (Main 010A) is open 24/7 and accessible to all graduate students via their DragonCard ID. Students are welcome to use the lounge space for social gathering, studying, eating, and events. More information about the lounge is available on the Graduate College website. Please note that new, incoming students will gain access to the lounge during the first week of classes.

Please refer to the Academic Calendars on the Provost’s website for all academic dates and deadlines which are subject to change. You should also consult with your individual college or school officials and assigned graduate academic advisor(s) for additional dates, deadlines and requirements.

Friday, April 1 – Deadline to Add/Drop a Course with Academic Advisor Assistance* 
Sunday, April 3 by 11:59 p.m. ET – Deadline to Add/Drop a Course in DrexelOne* 
Friday, April 29 – Deadline to Submit an Application for Degree in DrexelOne for Spring Quarter Graduation, please see “Graduation Dates & Deadlines” below 
Week of May 2 – Summer Quarter Registration Begins (Review Your Time Ticket Information) 
Friday, May 13 – Deadline to Withdraw from a Course with Academic Advisor Assistance* 
Monday, May 30 – Memorial Day (University Holiday) 
Saturday, June 4 – Last Day of Classes* 
Monday, June 6 – Term Examinations Begin* 
Saturday, June 11 – Term Examinations End* 
Saturday, June 11 – Spring Quarter Degree Conferral Date (Date that appears on diploma)

The following information is for Drexel graduate students enrolled in quarter programs who intend to complete their program/degree requirements and graduate this spring or summer term, and who wish to participate in Commencement 2022. Please review Graduation Deadlines 2022 for more information. 


***Friday, April 29 – Deadline to Submit an Application for Degree in DrexelOne for Spring Quarter Graduation and to participate in Commencement 2022, including walkthroughs from Summer Quarter, please review Graduation Deadlines 2022 
Tuesday, June 7 at 5 p.m. EDT – Doctoral Student Celebration (for graduating doctoral candidates only) 
Wednesday, June 8 & Thursday, June 9 – Individual College/School Commencement Ceremonies 
Thursday, June 9 at 6 p.m. EDT – University-wide Commencement Ceremony at Citizens Bank Park 
Saturday, June 11 – Spring Quarter Degree Conferral Date (Date that appears on diploma) 
Friday, July 15 – Diploma Address Change Deadline (See bottom of degree application page for instructions) 
 

Academic Policies & Procedures

Additional policies are outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, including the Academic Integrity policy and conduct process. All students should be aware of and knowledgeable of these policies and procedures. Please review frequently for updates.

Join us for the Drexel Emerging Graduate Scholars Conference – April 13 & 14 


The Graduate Student Association, in partnership with the Graduate College and Office of Research and Innovation, will host the sixth annual Drexel Emerging Graduate Scholars (DEGS) Conference, a free, student-run, University-wide conference highlighting Drexel's graduate student research enterprise April 13 & 14! This year’s conference will be held in a hybrid format with opportuities for both in-person and virtual networking and engagement. More information can be found on the DEGS website. Register.

 

2022 Graduate Student Excellence Awards

The Graduate College is pleased to recognize graduate and professional students for outstanding mentorship, civic engagement, scholarship, service, research, and teaching assistance through it's Graduate Student Excellence Awards. Select awards allow for peer or self-nominations. Visit the website to review the criteria and submit a nomination by April 22.
