Welcome Nina Henderson Provost Scholars

The Nina Henderson Provost Scholars Program, launched in the fall of 2021, is an annual scholarship program that provides 12 motivated Drexel students with the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and play a hands-on role in shaping the Drexel experience. Drawing on their diverse backgrounds, disciplines and perspectives, Nina Henderson Provost Scholars work alongside the Provost and senior Provost’s Office leadership to advance key priorities of the Drexel 2030 Strategic Plan and collaborate on strategic projects.

The Graduate College has launched the Diversity Exploration project. This project will examine campus climate within the various graduate units across Drexel University, exploring graduate students’ knowledge around diversity, their college experiences and how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts could impact their future career trajectory. It will bring graduate students into a meaningful dialogue that could be used to further develop strategic priorities, programming and recommendations for diversity and inclusion spearheaded by the Graduate College.

Congratulations 2022 Cotswold Foundation Postdoctoral Fellows

The Cotswold Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship is intended to foster the career development of Drexel University postdoctoral researchers in formal, physical, life and applied sciences who are pursuing a career in academic research and are seeking long-term employment at an US educational and/or research institution. The fellowship is intended to subsidize and support postdoctoral training by providing $50,000 for one year which can be utilized for salary, fringe and professional development or any combination of the three.

Careers Beyond the Bench

The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies (GSBSPS) is partnering with Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student Association (BSGSA), Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, and Drexel Biomedical Graduate Association (DBGA) to bring back Careers Beyond the Bench, a professional development conference. The conference will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, February 23–24, in a virtual format from 1–6 p.m.. In addition, on Friday, February 25, we will offer in-person meetups with local professionals and on February 17, we will offer a pre-event workshop, "Networking in Virtual Environment."

Careers Beyond the Bench, a professional development conference, will feature accomplished speakers and panelists discussing non-academic career options for graduate students and postdocs. Attendees will learn about careers in the private sector as well as training strategies and career planning tools. We will offer panel discussions on medical and science communications, management consulting, medical science liaison and postdoc in industry. Additionally, we will offer workshops on exploring careers during graduate school, work-life integration and productivity, building a personal brand and more.
