Capping I-95
I-95 in Center City (between approximately the BF Bridge and South Street) presents an obstacle to access and use of the waterfront for recreation. It is proposed to put a cap over this portion of the roadway, with a park on top that could provide additional parkland as well as improved pedestrian access to the riverfront. Team expertise will likely be CIVE majors from transportation, structures and geo-tech backgrounds (possibly also water resource backgrounds because of drainage and hydrologic issues).
