Renovation and Repurpose of the Drexel Smart House
The Drexel Smart House (DSH) is located just NW of campus and has been under renovation for sometimes. Current renovation process has stalled and left the 2ndand 3rd floor in a condition that is structure and exterior only (no interior or any wiring, pipes, etc). It is a wonderful opportunity for the CAE student to observe the condition, then redesign the house with different purposes as they see fit. The key benefit for this is that the site and the house is readily available to visit, and the potential outcome might be tangible.
