Intensive Medical Sciences
Medicine (MD & Graduate Programs)
Intensive Medical Sciences (IMS) is a rigorous nine-month "special master's" program designed for applicants seeking to strengthen their credentials for matriculation into Drexel University College of Medicine’s MD program. The curriculum consists of courses that match the rigor and pace of our first-year medical school coursework. Applicants must have completed their pre-medical requirements and achieved specific metrics on the MCAT and a specific minimum overall and math-science GPA to qualify. Applicants accepted into the IMS program receive a conditional acceptance into Drexel's MD program. Matriculation into the MD program is contingent upon successful completion of the IMS program and meeting specific benchmarks. Classes are held in the state-of-the-art Health Sciences Building in the heart of University City.
