  • Summer Institutes
  • Equity & Access Events
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." ~ Nelson Mandela

Through the following opportunities, we invite students of all ages to come to Drexel and get aquatinted with university life. Often, these students are just beginning high school and our programs help them become better prepared for going to college when their time arrives.

Summer Institutes

Each summer, Drexel offers highly motivated and talented high school students the opportunity to explore what college life is all about through our Summer Institutes. Through various workshops led by Drexel faculty using our state-of-the-art labs and facilities, participants gain an understanding of the undergraduate experience in a university-level program. Most of the Institutes take place at Drexel's University City Campus in the heart of Philadelphia.

Equity and Access Events

Access to higher education for students regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, and socioeconomic status is all too important. At Drexel, we know that improving equity and access to higher education must start before students begin the college search process. That is where our pre-college equity and access events truly make an impact — breaking down barriers to college access, leveling the playing field, and inspiring historically underrepresented students of color and first-generation students to dream beyond their circumstances.
