The Drexel Liberty Scholars program is breaking down barriers and changing lives in the process. On Thursday, March 10, 2022 the director of the Liberty Scholars program joined Mario the Magnificent, Drexel’s mascot, and visited the Philadelphia High School for Girls to surprise Jaylin Bowens with her admission to the Liberty Scholars program. As part of the University’s commitment to social justice and college access for all, the Liberty Scholars program enrolls 65 students from across the nation with demonstrated financial need who are also historically underrepresented or first-generation college students.
