U. S. private universities with both Carnegie R1 & Community Engagement classifications

Drexel Is a National Civic Engagement Leader

The University's special commitment to civic engagement provides unique and extraordinary experiential learning opportunities for Drexel students. For example, Drexel's AmeriCorps co-ops are dozens of full-time positions advancing workforce development at community partner organizations throughout the city. Many more of our students are active in service, volunteering, and outreach in our local neighborhoods and across the city. Civic engagement at Drexel is great preparation for wherever your career takes you.

Our work as a civically engaged university continues to garner national attention. Most notably, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching has awarded Drexel with its prestigious Community Engagement classification in recognition of our ongoing institutional commitment to developing strong community partnerships that support the evolving needs of our broader communities.
