Biomedical Engineering Summer Institutes
BIOMED Summer Academy
The BIOMED Summer Academy is a one-week STEM program at Drexel University in Philadelphia offered four times throughout the summer that provides high school students with insight into one of STEM's most exciting fields: Biomedical Engineering.
Participants will be introduced to laboratory and core research skills through interactive, hands-on learning activities. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the booming biomedical industry through site visits, seminars, and presentations from top-notched faculty in research.

| Eligibility |
Rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from the Philadelphia area and beyond. Admission is competitive. Applicants must have completed at least one year of biology and demonstrate an interest in mathematics, engineering, or the health and life sciences. Preference is given to students with strong academic records and positive teacher recommendations.
