Urban Health
Students in the online Master of Public Health in Urban Health program learn how to develop culturally competent programs, policies, and solutions to contemporary urban health challenges, including built environment, healthy housing, and ecological concerns. Students will gain experience in epidemiological methods and program planning and evaluation. This program will provide students the skills, knowledge, and experience to develop a successful career in addressing today's urban health needs.
Graduate Minors are open to all Drexel graduate students in all schools and colleges. The graduate minors are designed to complement student’s training by providing basic knowledge in topics outside their primary discipline. The graduate minor in Urban Health will provide students with basic knowledge and skills necessary to describe health in cities and other urban areas, understand and analyze the drivers of health in urban areas, identify and evaluate effective strategies to improve urban health, work with interdisciplinary teams, and communicate about drivers of urban health and effective policies with diverse stakeholders.
The online Certificate in Urban Health introduces students to urban health concepts and practice techniques. Students will gain experience on how to be culturally competent public health professionals with an emphasis on built environment, healthy housing, and ecological concerns. Students will learn about the fundamentals of urban health and how to apply them to real-world problems.
