Health Management and Policy (MPH)
Students in Drexel Dornsife's Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Management and Policy program learn the skills necessary to take on management and policy-making roles to improve health care delivery and population health at the local, state, and national levels. The program trains the next generation of public health practitioners and leaders to become agents for positive change in a dynamic and complex world who will lead in the following domains:
- Urban Health – Manage a diverse set of health care and public health programs aimed at advancing the health status of people living in America's cities.
- Human Rights – Assure that organizational priorities and strategies focus on improving and maintaining health as a basic human right.
- Policy and Management Integration – Direct organizations and programs with a clear vision of how the interests of institutions and society must be considered as mutually dependent.

Additional Information
Prior to enrolling in the program, applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Drexel University encourages students of all majors to apply to the MPH program; however, a course in statistics is highly recommended. Applicants will select a major on the SOPHAS application, although students will have the opportunity to change this selection prior to the spring term of their first year should their interests change.
Competitive applicants typically have a GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Letters of recommendation should come from faculty members; however, exceptions can be made if the applicant has been out of school for some time. The Admissions Committee holistically reviews each application, taking special note of an applicant's knowledge and motivation toward the public health profession through close evaluation of the applicant's essay and letters of recommendation.
