Electrospinning Nanofibers for Energy Applications
PhD, Chemical and Biological Engineering, College of Engineering

Summary: Electrospinning is a unique and simple way to make fiber materials for a variety of applications. Nanofibers have attracted a lot of interest in energy devices because electrospinning is relatively easy, low cost, and can be scaled up for large scale production. In addition, the versatile fabrication of electrospun nanofibers allows us to tailor the fibers form specific energy devices, such as batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, and photovoltaics.

Supermarket Victory: A Sports Nutrition Training Toolkit for Dietetic Professionals
MS, Human Nutrition, College of Nursing and Health Professions

Summary: We have been developing a training manual for dietitians and dietetic interns to teach them how to conduct grocery store tours for athletes. We will be presenting the evidence-based research for a sports-specific supermarket tour training kit for dietetic professionals. This will help improve sports nutrition knowledge and grocery shopping behaviors of collegiate athletes.
