Office of Counseling Services
Here at the Counseling Center, we take a flexible approach to wellness, offering students care that ranges from informal and informational to deep, intimate opportunities to grow through interpersonal connection. Our services include peer counseling, group counseling, individual counseling, case management for community referrals, BIPOC drop-ins, same-day appointments, crisis support, wellness workshops, and outreach events. Students and their clinicians work together to decide which option(s) best support their mental health. We respect students’ privacy and value their right to easily accessible mental healthcare. Thus, our services are free, confidential, and sensitive to the needs of a diverse student community. Telehealth and in-person appointments are available.

Graduate Student Association (GSA)
The GSA is both the governing body for graduate students at Drexel and oversees the recognized graduate student organizations registered with Campus Engagement within Student Life. The GSA also advocates for and serves all graduate students across the University collaborating with the Graduate College and campus partners to enhance the graduate student experience. The GSA supports the recognized graduate student organizations to host hundreds of programs and events for the graduate student population at Drexel and to bring together students, postdocs, alumni, faculty and professional staff across academic disciplines and organizations. From research symposiums, academic panels, interdisciplinary workshops, and writing boot camps, to ski trips, dances, intramural sports and happy hours, there is something for everyone in our vibrant Drexel graduate student community.

International Graduate Student Association (IGSA)
IGSA is a graduate student organization which serves and engages Drexel's international graduate student population. IGSA hosts various events throughout the year to bring the international student population together and celebrate culture. Some events include the Festival of Nations, celebration of both U.S. and international holidays, such as the annual Thanksgiving Dinner, game nights, and events and attractions throughout Philadelphia!

Therapy Dogs
Drexel currently has three therapy dogs, Espresso, Java, and Mocha Latte. At Drexel, we understand that navigating academic and research life, as well as other obligations, can be difficult. The therapy dogs are on campus 20 plus hours a week and available to encourage students to take a break by petting or hanging out with the pups who can provide some of the comforts of home, especially for those who may be missing family, friends or their own pets.

Public Safety
With the help of the entire Drexel community, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) works diligently to foster and maintain a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and neighbors in the surrounding community. The department’s holistic, community-oriented approach to safety includes: foot, bike, and vehicle patrols by our internationally accredited police department and contracted security officers, a state-of-the-art dispatch center staffed 24/7, walking escort services, Drexel ALERT text messages to relay timely information and stay connected to the community, and the use of technologies including closed-circuit cameras, blue-light emergency phones and the Drexel Guardian app. Officers regularly monitor the data and coordinate with other local law enforcement agencies and community organizations to respond to changing needs. Additionally, the Fire and Emergency Services unit provides information and resources to address fire safety, medical emergencies, and emergency preparedness services at Drexel.
