Change of Major

Drexel University policy states that students must have a least a 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to change their major; however, the College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) requires a cumulative GPA of 2.5. If you are still interested in changing your major, please schedule a meeting with an undergraduate advisor. It may be possible for you to work on CCI courses while raising your GPA to the minimum requirement.

If you are considering changing your major, please contact an undergraduate advisor to schedule an appointment. During the appointment, we will be able to discuss, on a personal level, where all of your previous and current courses fit into our curriculum.

Special Internal Transfer Policy

CCI allows students to change their major, after completing one-term, even if they are not in good standing. An individualized transcript review will be performed to determine if the student's overall academic performance would support a transfer into a particular major.

Please note: The student's academic and judicial file will also be reviewed in this process. CCI may deny transfer if there is any indication that the transfer would not serve the interests of the College or student.
