Biochemistry of Health & Disease - MS / PhD

Biochemistry of Health & Disease (BHAD) is a challenging, broad-based graduate program involving research and coursework. Through this graduate program, students work at the interface between chemistry and biology to probe the interactions between biomolecules that direct cellular function.

Biomedical Studies

The Biomedical Studies program is a two-year master's degree program designed for students who have completed the required health professional school prerequisites and may need to strengthen their science background and/or MCAT score before applying to medical or other health professional schools. Drexel Pathway to Medical School

The Drexel Pathway to Medical School is a one-year master's degree program with early assurance into the College of Medicine. The program provides students who have taken premed classes the opportunity to further enhance their academic background in preparation for medical school studies. Drexel Pathway to Medical School program students who meet the GPA and MCAT score requirements matriculate into the medical school.

Histotechnology

The Histotechnology (MHP) program is a one-year master's degree program, comprised of intense academic studies and a three-month practicum. Students will be prepared to work, under the direction of a pathologist, as a highly qualified allied health professional in anatomic pathology laboratories throughout the country.

The Immunology (IMNO) program provides training in various aspects of research related specifically to basic, translational, and clinical research in the fields of immunology and inflammatory disease. Students in this program focus on research and development relevant to new immunodiagnostics, immunotherapeutics and vaccines.

Infectious Disease

The Infectious Disease (INFD) program provides training in various aspects of basic, translational and clinical research in the field of infectious disease. The program focuses on research and development relevant to new diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines, and is designed to provide academic and practical knowledge in translational research in immunological and inflammatory diseases.

Intensive Medical Sciences

This accelerated 'Special Master's' pre-medical program offers individuals an engaging and challenging academic setting during their growth year. The IMS curriculum matches the rigor and pace of the first year of our medical school coursework and is taught by medical school faculty. Starting in the academic year 2024/25, the College of Medicine extends qualified IMS candidates a conditional acceptance to the MD program upon achieving specific metrics.

Interdisciplinary Health Sciences

The Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (IHS) program offers students an opportunity to enhance their academic credentials and demonstrate an ability to succeed in science courses with content relevant to their chosen health care profession. Located on the Center City Campus of Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this 48-credit Master of Science degree is offered as a two-year program.

Master of Laboratory Animal Science

The Molecular & Cell Biology & Genetics (MCBG) program provides a broad education-training for graduate students interested in biomedical problems that cross disciplinary boundaries. Students have the opportunity pursue research interests under the guidance of faculty in six different departments/centers.

Molecular Basis of Cancer

The online Molecular Basis of Cancer post-baccalaureate certificate and Master of Science degree program trains students to obtain understanding of the molecular, cellular and physiological basis of cancer.

Molecular Medicine
