    10:00 AM-6:00 PM

Virtual until January Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts 300 S. Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19102

    • Everyone

Women 100, a program of Vision 2020, is hosting "Seat at the Table," an exhibition that commemorates the 19th Amendment — establishing women’s right to vote — and asks 100 years later, “Where are we now?” Visitors will experience the current status of gender equality in the U.S. through 3D infographic furniture.

"Seat at the Table" is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will reopen April 1, 2021. A virtual tour and the multimedia segment of the exhibition are still available. In addition, an educator's guide is available for download for teachers, youth leaders and parents.

When the Kimmel Center reopens, "Seat at the Table" will be presented in the lobby daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through September 2021.

    11:00 AM-12:00 PM

    Virtual Panel via Zoom

The discussion will also address how the University and society can stay hopeful for the future in the aftermath of the Chauvin trial and verdict.

Erwan Terrien, PhD, adjunct professor of Africana Studies, will kick off the discussion with a brief history of the Juneteenth Holiday, considered the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration marking the end of slavery in the United States, and what makes this holiday important/relevant today. Hybrid Virtual

    • Everyone

For the First Time, Our Congress Will Be Virtual

The 7th Vision 2020 National Congress will convene around the theme “Leveraging Our Power for Positive Change” on June 15-16, 2021. It will be the largest and most impactful Congress as well as the first to be a hybrid virtual event, with portions of the program open to the public. The final act of this Congress will be the announcement of a bold new agenda to complete the unfinished business of gender equality. Learn about the program schedule by following the link below.

Vision 2020’s national leaders, professional team and special guests will host the Congress via livestream from the lobby of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, where Vision 2020’s acclaimed “Seat at the Table” exhibition was installed immediately prior to the COVID-19 shutdown. The public will be invited to join the Congress for a special virtual tour of the exhibition led by curator Page Talbott to gain insight on progress toward gender equality 100 years after women won the right to vote.

Since 2010, Vision 2020 has been convening its Delegates and leaders of its Allied Organizations at National Congresses in different locations around the country. At these high-energy gatherings, participants share important information, develop strategies and measure progress toward political, economic and social equality. Each Congress also strengthens connections among the participants and sparks collaborations for collective impact.

Portions of the program are open to the public.
