I can’t see my manager’s comments on my overall rating on the summary page of my review. How can I see them?

Click on the Options drop-down menu at the top of the review and select the Print Review option. This will generate a PDF in which you can see any comments.

I submitted my accomplishments, strengths, learning, and growth step and need to edit my responses. What do I do?

Reach out to your manager and ask them to reopen your step. See below for instructions.

I need to send a professional staff member’s step back to them for edits. How do I do so?

Access the performance development task from your queue and select the Reopen Step button at the bottom of the Overview page. If the review is in the either of the signature steps, email for assistance.

I’m a manager and need to assign a co-planner to participate in a team member’s performance development process. How do I do that?

Access the performance development task from your queue and click on the Options drop-down menu at the top-right of the Overview page. Select Add Co-Planner. Type the last name of the co-planner in the search box and select the correct name. Select Submit or Save.

The co-planner will be able the access the professional staff member’s performance development task and add their feedback, but they will not receive the email prompts — only the manager will receive those prompts. Please keep in touch with any co-planners to ensure the process is moving along.

Additionally, once the manager or co-planner selects submit for the task, it’s no longer available to either of them — it moves on to the next step in the process. Be sure that the manager and co-planner only select the Save button until the manager step in the process is complete, at which time one of them can select the Submit button.

I’m trying to complete my step in the performance development process and can’t access the task in the “my tasks” channel in Career Pathway. What should I do?

Check with the other person participating in the task — your manager or team member. Ask them if they can access the task in their “my tasks” channel. If they can, it’s not available to you until they submit it. If they are finished with their step, they should click the submit button to send the task to you.

I can’t submit my performance development task to my manager for their input. What should I do?

Be sure to respond to all three prompts in the task — accomplishments and strengths, areas for learning and growth, and how your manager could support your learning and growth. Once you respond to all three prompts, you should be able to submit.

I am on an approved leave of absence during the performance development process. What should I or my manager do?

Please do not participate in any work activities while on leave. You will be expected to complete the performance development process within 30 days of your return to work. Managers, please email when a direct report returns from leave so we can extend the due dates for the performance development process accordingly.

I don’t have an annual performance development task assigned to me. What should I do?

If you were hired on or after May 1, 2021, you will not complete an annual performance development task, since you’re in or just completed your introductory period. If you were active before May 1, 2021, email so we can troubleshoot.

I’m a manager and can’t see one or more of the performance development tasks that have been submitted by my direct reports. I’ve confirmed that they have been submitted and are no longer in the staff members’ queues. What should I do?

The Your Tasks channel in Career Pathway only displays 10 items at a time. To see more, hover over the Performance tab and select Performance Reviews.
