The mission of the Office of the Comptroller is to ensure the stewardship and management of the University's finances through effective and efficient accounting processes; provide leadership and guidance in matters of financial accounting and research accounting; assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of sound fiscal policies and accounting procedures with the goal of enhancing internal controls and continuous improvement of financial systems in conjunction with the other University finance-related offices.

WHAT CAN THE OFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLER HELP WITH?

  • Obtain copies of audited financial statements
  • Provide access to financial policies procedures and forms
  • Obtain monthly and year-end closing schedules
  • Establish new chart of account elements (funds, orgs, accounts, activity codes)
