The mission of the Office of the Comptroller is to ensure the stewardship and management of the University's finances through effective and efficient accounting processes; provide leadership and guidance in matters of financial accounting and research accounting; and assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of sound fiscal policies and accounting procedures, with the goal of enhancing internal controls and continuous improvement of financial systems in conjunction with the other University finance-related offices.

  • Obtain monthly and year-end closing schedules
  • Establish new chart of account elements (funds, orgs, accounts, activity codes)

Fiscal Year 2026 Approved Fringe Rates for Sponsored Projects

Drexel University has finalized the negotiations of the fiscal year 2026 fringe benefit rates for sponsored projects with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The finalized rates remain the same as the proposed rates. Coeus and Banner have been updated to reflect the new proposed rates effective July 1, 2025.
Salus Account Codes - Transitioning Responsibility of Remaining Reclasses of Budgets and Actuals to Departments

For the past two months, General Accounting and the Office of Budget and Planning have handled the reclassification of budgets for revenues and non-salary related expenses from non-Salus-specific account codes to Salus-specific account codes for administrative cost centers that do not have unique orgs associated with Salus. Effective immediately, any remaining reclasses of revenues or non-salary expenses associated with administrative cost centers must be submitted by the department via the Journal Workflow, which is available in the DrexelOne portal.
