Concentration Declaration

Effective: Fall 2021

Overview: For CCI majors that include a concentration or a track (CS and CST), students must select a concentration/track within their major by the end of spring term, first academic year. This new policy will allow for better course planning related to elective by understanding the concentration(s)/track(s) students plan to pursue

Students admitted to CS and CST majors in the College of Computing and Informatics for Fall 2021 and after are advised to declare a concentration/track by the end of their first academic year. Students admitted prior to Fall 2021 are advised to declare a concentration/track by the end of the spring term 2021-22. To declare a concentration/track within the CS and CST major, consult with your academic advisor regarding the procedure to declare a concentration/track. Director of Advising may approve an exception for extenuating circumstances, to allow additional time to declare a concentration/track.

Students may update concentrations or tracks if their academic interests change.
