First-Year Housing
Housing and Residence Life is excited to welcome first-year students into the Drexel residence halls. Living on campus is a big part of the college experience — an environment where students live, learn, and engage and take advantage of opportunities that will shape and serve them for the rest of their lives. Our Residential Communities
Students living in Drexel's residence halls are supported by live-in Residence Life professional team members who offer support through mentorship and counseling. Residence Life establishes innovative and creative ways to foster a sense of community and to assist students with achieving their goals through sponsored trips and events, and academic and social programming to engage residents outside of the classroom. An Introduction: The 2-Year Residency Program
Drexel's 2-Year Residency Program was developed to provide first-year and second-year students a wide range of learning and lifestyle housing options to customize their Drexel living experience.
First-year students must live in a Drexel Residence Hall and can choose from the following options:

Local Residents
First-year students may be permitted to reside with a family member or legal guardian if your permanent address is within a 10-mile radius (view a PDF of the zip codes) of the University City campus.
Haven Recovery Residence
First-year students in recovery also have the option to explore living in the Philadelphia Collegiate Recovery Haven. This is a unique residential community for Drexel students in recovery from substance use issues. Learn more about the Philadelphia Collegiate Recovery Haven.
Extenuating Circumstances
Prior to the start of the academic year, incoming first-year students may request a change in residency status by contacting the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 215.895.2400 or enroll@drexel.edu.
