Graduate Housing in University City

Apartment Amenities:

• Private Bedroom: Students contract by individual bed rather than by apartment. Housing assignments by Drexel Housing and Residence Life will be provided in July.
  • Hillcrest Graduate Apartments (3410 Powelton Avenue) will be furnished with a full XL-sixed bed.
  • Lexington Graduate Apartments (3601-03 Powelton Avenue) will be furnished with a twin XL-sized bed. Available for the 2025-26 Academic Year only.
  • Van Rensselaer Hall (3320 Powelton Avenue) will be furnished with a twin XL-sized bed. Available beginning Fall 2026.
• Shared Bedroom: Shared bedroom accommodations are available at Van Rensselaer Hall.
• Private Bathrooms: Each apartment features a private bathroom equipped with either a shower, a tub, or a shower/tub combination, and storage space for your toiletries.
• Fully equipped Kitchens: Each apartment's kitchenette is outfitted with a refrigerator, oven, and cabinetry to accommodate storage needs. The kitchenette layout is designed to provide a comfortable setting for dining and social gatherings.
• Utilities Included (No Additional Fees): Water, heat/air conditioning, and trash removal services are included.

Community Amenities:

• Each property has laundry facilities
• Access is 24-hour controlled
• On-site Maintenance; management offices are located on the ground floor
• Access to Public Transportation and located on the Route

Rates and Fees:

• Rates are charged to the student’s eBill by term. View housing rates on Drexel Central’s Housing and Dining Costs page, Under “Graduate Housing.”
• $200 Housing Deposit.
• Rental fee, charged by term to your Drexel eBill.
• Parking is an additional fee. Drexel-affiliated parking options are offered through Drexel Parking Services.

Internet Access Information:

• Van Rensselaer Hall and Lexington Graduate Apartments: Complimentary high-speed internet is provided with DragonFly3 Wi-Fi included in your stay. 
• Hillcrest Graduate Apartments, 3410 Powelton Avenue, and 65 N. 34th Street: Wireless internet is not provided. Residents are responsible for setting up their own internet service.

Graduate Apartments at Van Rensselaer Hall

Van Rensselaer Hall provides furnished, comfortable, and convenient housing for graduate students on Powelton Avenue. This historic building includes a basement-level social lounge featuring gaming equipment and a TV, perfect for relaxation and recreation. For quiet academic work, there is a dedicated study lounge on the top floor. The hall also offers a Multi-Faith Prayer and Meditation Space. Each apartment features a kitchenette, living room, and bathroom.

Van Rensselaer Hall Apartment Types:

• Compact Single Bedroom Unit: A private bedroom in a furnished double-bedroom unit for up to two occupants.
• Expanded Single Bedroom Unit: A roomier private bedroom in a furnished double-bedroom unit for up to two occupants.
• Double Bedroom Unit: Two shared bedrooms in a furnished unit for up to four roommates.

Lexington apartments are conveniently located near Drexel’s Health Sciences Building and the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. Situated on Powelton Avenue in University City, residents enjoy walking to campus restaurants and coffee shops. Located on the Dragon Route, Lexington residents have quick access to the south end of campus.
