Van Rensselaer Hall, now a coed residence hall, initially opened as the Sarah Drexel Van Rensselaer Dormitory in 1931, named after Sarah Rozet Drexel Van Rensselaer, a philanthropist and socialite, who financially supported the dormitory's construction.

Storage: Indoor bike storage is located on the basement level.
Unique to this building: The basement level has a social lounge with gaming equipment and a TV. The ballroom is located on Floor 1 and has a baby grand piano.
