Business Information Technology
Jointly offered by the College of Computing & Informatics and the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business, the STEM-designated Master of Science in Business Information Technology (MSBIT) connects business and information technology (IT) perspectives so that students understand IT in an organizational context. Specifically, students completing the program will understand how IT is managed in an organizational environment, how it helps to solve organizational problems, and how it can be used to transform an organization, bridging the divide between business and IT.
Courses in this interdisciplinary program enhance students' technology and business knowledge with an emphasis on practical application. After gaining a greater understanding of the foundations in information technology and management, students can choose to focus on two of the following areas: organizational security, information technology strategy and execution, information systems development, or digital transformation. This program is designed for students who have relevant work experience and either a technical or a business background. The program is full-or part-time and can be completed in-person or online.
