Audiology
The mission of the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) curriculum is to graduate competent, compassionate, and future-ready hearing healthcare clinicians who are prepared to practice at the top of their profession. Our innovative three-year, on-campus Doctor of Audiology program combines rigorous biomedical sciences, immersive clinical education, and an Integrated Credential Learning Pathway to prepare graduates for leadership in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of auditory and vestibular disorders, as well as collaborative care of related systemic conditions.
Designed around Drexel University's commitment to experiential learning, the Osborne Audiology curriculum offers students:
- Completion of the Doctor of Audiology degree in just over three years through an innovative, integrated curriculum
- An Integrated Multi-Credential Learning Pathway with eligibility to earn an Audiology Assistant Credential, Hearing Instrument Specialist eligibility, a master's degree milestone, and the Doctor of Audiology (AuD)
- Early, immersive clinical experiences beginning in the first term and continuing throughout the program
- Small-group, hands-on learning with direct access to dedicated Osborne Audiology faculty
- State-of-the-art pre-clinical laboratories for hearing, vestibular, and electrophysiologic assessment
- Extensive clinical education at the Pennsylvania Ear Institute and diverse external clinical rotations
- Interprofessional learning experiences that prepare graduates for collaborative, team-based healthcare
- Leadership, practice management, and business skills integrated throughout the curriculum
- Preparation to practice at the top of license using evidence-based, patient-centered approaches to hearing and balance healthcare
Our commitment to early, continuous, and immersive clinical education ensures students are exceptionally prepared for their full-time externship and entry into professional practice. Beyond the core AuD curriculum, graduates may pursue optional advanced certificates in specialty areas, creating a lifelong learning pathway that makes Osborne Audiology their academic home for continued innovation, specialization, and professional growth.
