Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

The Drexel University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) seeks to celebrate diversity, foster social equity, and to conduct itself in as inclusive a manner as possible.  As members of the Drexel ECE Department community, it is our shared commitment and objective to respect differences including, but not limited to, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religion/spirituality, socioeconomic status, and culture.

As members of the international community of electrical and computer engineers, we proudly recognize the diverse backgrounds of our most innovative and groundbreaking leaders, yet also acknowledge the significant inequities, historical and current, that have excluded or discouraged the participation of some groups in our field.  We join ECE Departments at universities around the world in committing to actively work towards equity and inclusion for all.

We are a community of learners, with diverse learning styles, and a prerequisite for learning is for each student to feel welcome and supported:  we aim to treat each other with that in mind and we ask that you do the same for each other.
