You stand ready to tackle the challenges, seize the opportunities, and reap the rewards that come with shaping a world increasingly reliant on information and technology. And you—each and every one of you—are exactly what this world has been waiting for.
Your brilliance, creativity, determination, and boundless passion have already left an indelible mark on our vibrant community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. 2025 Speaker Selections
Keynote Speaker: Kamelia Aryafar
Kamelia Aryafar is a Senior Executive in Google Cloud AI focused on building Google Agentspace, Vertex AI Search Verticals and Platform. Kamelia is the founder of Google Agentspace. Her mission is to enable enterprises to tap into the best of what Google has to offer in Agents, Assistant and Search technologies.
Prior to Google, Kamelia was the Executive Vice President, Chief Algorithms and Analytics Officer, and board member for Overstock.com (Beyond Inc), where she led the company’s entire engineering, analytics, AI and product organizations. Kamelia joined Overstock.com, after several years at Etsy where she worked with different product teams across several platforms to integrate analytics and AI throughout the user experience.
Kamelia holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in computer science (AI and machine learning) from Drexel University and has published several papers in scientific journals. As an active member of the ML community, she frequently speaks at academic and industry conferences focusing on advancing the field of Generative AI, machine learning, Technology and women in STEM.
Student Speaker: Abe Jeyapratap
Abe Jeyapratap is a Computer Science and Mathematics double major, with minors in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. His interests lie in the interdisciplinary applications of technology, and he has been actively engaged in research since his freshman year.
He initially conducted computational neuroscience research under the guidance of Dr. Yusuf Osmanlioglu, applying graph theoretical and machine learning techniques to neuroimaging brain data. He later transitioned to robotics research with Dr. Lifeng Zhou, focusing on developing resilient, risk-aware, and trustworthy algorithms for autonomous driving systems. In recognition of his academic achievements and research contributions, Abe was named a 2024 Barry Goldwater Scholar — the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship in the U.S. for students in STEM.
Outside of research, he completed his first co-op at Vanguard as a full-stack engineer working on internal systems. He is currently at Amazon Robotics, working as a software engineer on computer vision solutions for robotics.
