I'll be honest, usually, I am a tea drinker — there is nothing more soothing than a steaming hot cup of Yogi's Revitalize Mint Green tea. However, there are times when it is just too hot for hot tea. In those instances, I go to my default: iced coffee! On a hot day or even a lukewarm day, if I am being truthful, there is nothing more delicious than coffee over ice. 

Here are my top choices for discovering the best iced coffee on and around campus:

1. Saxby's 

How I have lived my entire life without sipping on the delicious coffee options at Saxby's, I will never know! The Vanilla Cold Brew coffee is a majestic journey in delicious caffeine happiness. The cold brew at Saxby's is the perfect balance in both vanilla and coffee flavor — not too sweet or overpowering. A stop here will allow you to leave refreshed and ready to take on the day.

2. Starbucks

This is one of the top choices for any coffee drinker no matter the time of day. For me, Starbucks coffee is extremely strong and gives you a lasting energy boost that can power you through a three-hour-long meeting or lecture. One of the only downsides is that there can tend to be a wait before you can get your hands on your caffeinated deliciousness. But, if you're anything like me, once you have your hands on your Cold Brew or Iced Frappuccino, Starbucks proves that they are worth the wait! With so many flavor and coffee options, Starbucks has something for everyone no matter what you may be in the mood for.

3. Dunkin' Donuts

No coffee list would be complete without Dunkin'! One of the best points about any Dunkin' Donuts is how quickly the staff is able to take your order and get you moving on your way. The iced coffee here is a little heavy on the ice, but a medium tends to fill up like a large and the flavor options are endless! My go to here is Iced Coffee with Caramel — while the caramel flavor may be a bit overpowering, I like how the sweet aspect of the caramel combines with the caffeine for the ultimate mid-day-pick-me-up.

4. Joe's Coffee Company

While nothing can replace fantastic customer service and a very laid-back atmosphere, iced coffee from Joe's left me wanting more. Compared to all the coffee options around campus, Joe's coffee can certainly provide you with the caffeine you need without the flavor you may want.
