The Housing and Residence Life team is here to help students navigate their residential experience and feel connected to the Drexel community.
Meet the Residence Life Team
Area Coordinators (ACs)
Area Coordinators are full-time professional staff members who oversee the residential experience within their assigned communities. ACs support student success, provide guidance during challenging situations, respond to concerns within the community, and supervise Resident Assistants.
Students may connect with their AC for:
- Community concerns
- Conflict resolution
- Policy questions
- Support during difficult situations
- Resource referrals
- General residential support
Residential Desk Coordinators (RDCs)
Residential Desk Coordinators oversee the operation of the residential front desks and support day-to-day administrative functions within the residence halls.
Resident Assistants (RAs)
Resident Assistants are student leaders who live within the residence halls and help create a welcoming, safe, and engaging community environment. RAs support students academically, socially, and personally throughout the year.
RAs help:
- Build community within the halls
- Plan programs and events
- Share campus resources
- Support students through challenges
- Assist during emergency situations
- Serve as a connection to campus support services
Desk Assistants (DAs)
Desk Assistants help support front desk operations within the residence halls and assist students, guests, and staff throughout the day.
Support Available to Residents
Residence Life staff are here to support students in many aspects of residential living, including:
- Adjusting to campus life
- Roommate concerns
- Community conflicts
- Academic or personal challenges
- Connecting with campus resources
- Safety concerns
- Building friendships and community
Community and Engagement
Residence Life offers programs and activities throughout the year designed to help students:
- Meet other residents
- Build connections
- Learn about campus resources
- Develop leadership skills
- Explore identity and community
- Engage in the Drexel experience
After-Hours Support
Residence Life staff members are available to assist students after business hours through on-call support and emergency response processes. Students should contact Public Safety immediately in the event of an emergency.
