Drexel currently supports the Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS operating systems.

Drexel-owned machines have these operating systems freshly installed (if newly purchased), or reinstalled (if a current machine needs it) by Drexel's IT personnel.

However, faculty and professional staff can obtain some software and settings for their Drexel-owned machines from self-service applications such as Software Center for Windows or Self Service for macOS. These applications are also used by IT personnel to deliver software and security updates.

Note: Drexel-owned Windows computers should NOT run Windows Update. Software updates should come through Software Center.
