Holidays

The Academy of Natural Sciences (ANS) of Drexel University observes 10 paid holidays and two floating personal holidays per year. The dates of the floating personal holidays are selected by employees and can be taken on any normal workday as long as the leave is approved by the employee's supervisor. Detailed information regarding official holidays is located in the Holiday Policy. Vacation Leave

All non-faculty employees receive vacation time based on their employee status, the number of hours they work in a week, and years of service. For a full breakdown of how much vacation time you earn and how to take that vacation time, please read the Vacation Leave Policy.

Sick Leave

Drexel University is committed to the health of our work force, which is why we offer all non-faculty employees paid time off in case of a personal illness or injury, the illness or injury of a family member, or for attending health care appointments. Exempt employees accrue one sick day per month, while non-exempt employees accrue sick leave based on their paid hours of work in a given pay period. Winter Break

The Academy of Natural Sciences (ANS) of Drexel University non-faculty employees receive additional winter break floating holidays equivalent to Drexel University's Winter Break schedule.
