Employment Date, Position Title and Salary Verifications

The Work Number is Drexel University's vendor for providing employment and income verifications for faculty and professional staff members. The service helps private and government verifiers obtain access to employment and income information in response to your request for some type of service or benefit. Using The Work Number’s 24/7 online verification service helps ensure Drexel University is using the most accurate and timely information available when making decisions based on someone's employment information. The Work Number data comes directly from Drexel and is updated weekly.

Examples of verifiers include mortgage companies, property managers and leasing agencies. Government agencies include agencies that provide state or federal aid to qualified applicants, for example: Social Services, Human Services, Social Security Administration, Family Services, Housing Authorities, Work Programs and Medicaid.

How Verifications Work

Verification may be completed only by The Work Number.

You must give permission for someone to verify your employment and income information and provide the verifier with the following information:

  1. The Work Number is Drexel University's verification vendor
  2. Drexel University's Company Code: 20797
  3. Your Social Security number

Once the verifier has the necessary information, they can quickly contact the Work Number's Client Service Center at 1.800.367.5690 or to expedite the verification process. The turnaround time for the completion of employment and income verification requests is 24 to 48 hours.

Please note: Drexel and the Work Number cannot disclose probability of continued employment, applicant next pay increase, projected amount of next pay increase, or reasons for employee separation from Drexel.
