A common misconception about mindfulness is that it needs to be practiced seated, in total stillness and silence, with your eyes closed.
In reality, mindfulness is simply (while simultaneously being complex) a practice of cultivating presence, and one of the most powerful ways to experience its benefits is by incorporating it into your day to day life.
Through a combination of a talk, meditation practices, and group discussion, we'll explore a variety of ways you can weave mindfulness into your life simply and effectively. You might be surprised to learn that it can be as easy as doing the dishes!
This workshop is open to all levels of mindfulness practice and experience. Come as you are.
Our instructor Dawn Mauricio (she/her) has been practicing and studying Insight Meditation since 2005, and has graduated from several Buddhist programs, including Spirit Rock's 4-year Retreat Teacher Training.
