Introducing your University-wide health and well-being resource
The COVID pandemic of the past few years demonstrated that our health depends in large part on the actions of others, the resources available to us, the environment in which we live, and many other factors. Real well-being means paying attention to all facets of our lives- individually, and together as a community.
Drexel students, professional staff, and faculty have worked together across institutional boundaries and recognized the intersections between public health, disease prevention, emotional health, and social equity. We know that health encompasses a wide range of issues, including feeling safe, respected and welcome among within our diverse campus community. We’ve recognized how deeply our success and well-being is interconnected with the rest of our West Philadelphia community and the importance of attending to our mental and behavioral health needs as well.
To build on the progress we’ve made together and work towards an integrated picture of health, we’re proud to introduce the Health & Well-Being at Drexel site as your university-wide hub for information and resources. Drexel has exceptional offerings for students, faculty, professional staff, and our greater community—from first-class recreational facilities to myriad social groups, from employee wellness classes to COVID and flu vaccine clinics. Now we’re gathering the information all in one place to illustrate the depth and breadth of the programs at Drexel and make programs more easily accessible to our community.
Want to find a fitness class? Join a club? Learn about employee wellness benefits? We’ll show you where to go. This site will be a resource for everyone in our community to become more engaged with their health and get help when they need it. It will also provide a home base for all of us to converse and learn about health and wellbeing. In the weeks to come, we will feature guest bloggers, showcase special events and launch more content designed with our community in mind.
Ambition can’t wait- and neither should your health and wellbeing!
