DEGS 2023: "Be well, to do well."

The Graduate College, in partnership with the Graduate Student Association and Office of Research & Innovation, hosted the seventh annual Drexel Emerging Graduate Scholars (DEGS) Conference, a FREE, homegrown University-wide conference highlighting Drexel's graduate student research, Thursday, April 20, 2023. The conference also featured virtual oral research presentations on Wednesday, April 19.

The theme of the 2023 conference was "Be well, to do well." In addition to showcasing Drexel's graduate research, the conference provided information and resources about maintaining wellness in graduate school.

About the Conference

The annual conference provides opportunities for graduate and professional students at all levels of study to showcase their work to the greater Drexel community, engage in professional development, network, and compete for monetary awards.

All students, postdocs, faculty, professional staff, alumni, and guests of the University are invited to attend the conference.

Format

The majority of the conference occurred in person at the Bossone Research Enterprise Center. There were also some opportunities for virtual engagement, such as through pre-conference workshops, virtual oral research presentations, and through live webcasts and recordings of some in-person presentations.

• Drexel's official Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition, including the opportunity to vote for People's Choice Award;

• Post-conference workshop (virtual Thurs. April 27, 12 to 1 p.m. ET);
• And, an awards ceremony and reception (Thurs. June 1, 4 to 6 p.m. ET)!
