Academics

Academics at Drexel take you beyond the typical college experience, and you'll have support all along the way.
This Is Your Team
At Drexel University, all full-time undergraduate students are paired with advisors that support them throughout their entire time at Drexel. These staff members are part of what make up every student's Success Team.

At Drexel, our dynamic curriculum combines world-class academics with real-world experience, uniquely preparing you to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. Here, your education will be infused with experiential learning, providing the opportunity to build upon your classwork as you work side by side with your professors, gain valuable experience in research, and learn directly from the leaders of your field through our cooperative education program, Drexel Co-op.

Your Student Success Team and Drexel Central

It's important to be able to contact your academic advisor and other valuable people who help you along the way during your studies here. That is why we are excited to introduce you to your Student Success Team, available to all full-time undergraduates and incorporating the Drexel professionals specifically dedicated to you — all in one place: DrexelOne under the My Success Team channel.

From the moment you begin at Drexel all the way through graduation, your academic advisor will be your best resource for navigating your individual Drexel journey. Your advisor will help you figure out which opportunities are best for you and how to fit them into your unique plan of study. These could include adding a minor, taking advantage of options provided by the Pennoni Honors College, or incorporating an international opportunity into your undergraduate career. Your options are nearly endless.

Throughout your time here, Drexel Central serves as your one stop for the Offices of the Bursar, Financial Aid, and Registrar, providing resources to help simplify the administrative process for you. At any point in time, you can reach out to Drexel Central via AskDrexel

DrexelOne is not only where you can find your Student Success Team, but where you can schedule, in advance, a one-on-one session with a Drexel Central representative for any of the following topics:

Common University Courses

You'll take classes in your major from the moment you arrive, along with preparatory courses such as University 101, COOP 101, and CIVC 101 to help you hit the ground running. These common university courses work to support your learning outcomes and goals. While not all first-year students will take all of these courses in their plan of study, the courses you do have will work to support the first-year learning objectives.
