Measurement of Air Pollutant Concentrations Using Kites

Project Title and Description

Measurement of Air Pollutant Concentrations Using Kites

Kite based measurements would be able to probe vertical stratification of pollutant concentrations, look at stack emissions, etc.  For example, wildfire smoke is all over the US/Canada, but how much is aloft vs at the ground.  The ability to measure vertically in the first few hundred meters of the atmosphere would help answer questions about exposure in ways that satellite photos cannot.
