It is common for many students, given the range of experiences and interests that high school students have, to be unsure about which major is right for them upon applying to Drexel. CCI students are always developing their interests and aptitudes throughout their degree. Deciding where to start may be an obstacle for new students. Classroom learning and the Drexel co-op experience deeply shape the ideas CCI students have about who they are and what they would like to do for their career. For students who are not sure which major is right for them at the start, undeclared students may start in CCI without a major.
What does an "undecided major" mean?
Undeclared students will still start in the College as freshmen while taking math and programming classes in their first year, just like other CCI students. To help with picking a major, undecided students will explore CCI majors in depth by working closely with academic advisors to assess their interests and help map them to classes and majors, and by attending additional workshops and lectures hosted by faculty members and CCI Corporate Partners.
