I chose this major because...  We live in a time where businesses increasingly leverage technology to make smarter decisions and stay competitive. From customer relationship management software and data analytics tools to artificial intelligence, technology is transforming the business landscape. I’m excited to be part of this dynamic shift, which is why I chose to study Computer Science. I hope CCI equips me with the skills to thrive in various careers. While my immediate goal is to become a software developer, I aspire to grow into leadership roles, such as a Chief Technology Officer, where I can shape a company’s technological direction.

Favorite Course(s): CS 260: This class is about Data Structures and Algorithms. It dives deep into essential concepts like arrays, linked lists, trees, and graphs, as well as algorithm design and analysis. I enjoyed the hands-on problem-solving approach, which helped me sharpen my ability to write efficient code and think critically about performance and optimization. This course has been foundational in enhancing my programming skills and solidifying my interest in building scalable solutions.

When I'm not at Drexel, I'm... Exploring nature around Pennsylvania, camping and hiking with Drexel Weekend Warriors, reading some mystery novels, or just simply hanging out with my friends.

When you are in Philadelphia, I think you should... Explore art places in Philly such as the Magic Garden or the Museum of Illusion, go cafe hopping in Center City, grab some books from the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Advice to new/incoming CCI students: Definitely go above and beyond to reach out to every resource Drexel and Philadelphia has to offer. Want to learn more about coding and technology? Spend time in the CCI Cyber Learning Centre to have a talk with upperclassmen and teaching assistants. Honestly, everyone is extremely friendly and open, and is willing to share with you about anything. You should also team up with your friends and join the annual Philly Codefest to build something and learn! Outside of class, try to meet more people to broaden your network and friendships. Whether you love cooking, movies, books, or camping, there are tons of clubs and activities for you to join and start having memorable experiences. Keep in mind that we are all in this together and every student is really supportive, you just need to be active and open.
