Stay Connected With the Drexel Family Portal

Welcome to Drexel University! As a parent of three Drexel Dragons, I welcome you and your student to the Drexel community.

Whether your student is your first or last that you are sending off to college, sending your student to a new community can be exciting, scary, and challenging. If you are interested in being connected to your student while they are at Drexel, the Family Portal can be a great resource for you. The Family Portal will allow you to keep yourself apprised of on-campus events and view the term calendar, including examinations as well as co op start and end dates. Via the Portal, you can also receive updates for billing, financial aid, and your student's academic information. Now that winter final exam results are starting to be updated, I can see my student passed Calc III!

The Family Portal will allow you to keep yourself apprised of on-campus events, view the term calendar, including examinations as well as co op start and end dates.

Not only does the Portal offer information for current family communities, but it also is an aggregator for articles you as a parent may find helpful, some specific to Drexel but not all. For example, I recently read a thoughtful blog about that unique time your student may have two homes, their family home and their school home. I have experienced these conversations myself and heard my kids refer to on-campus housing as "home" (cue a little lump in the throat here). The rub of this, of course, is that we do want them to feel at home on campus and have those connections and community.

I have found the Portal to be a friend on campus myself and encourage you to seek that friendship too!
