Explore Your Possibilities at Drexel's College Access Academy

Summer is here! So many of us are looking forward to lazy summer days and good beach vibes. And while it is a good time to rest and recharge, it is also a great time to prepare. Students all across the country are beginning to prepare for their college search process by making lists and visiting colleges. All of this can make some people feel overwhelmed and anxious, and I want to encourage you to take a deep breath and give yourself grace as you navigate your process. I believe you will find the right fit, and I, like so many admissions counselors, want to help you get there.

Our goal is to help students, particularly first-generation and/or students of color, receive the tools and resources to begin their college search.

Do you need help creating your college list? We can help. Are you trying to figure out what major to pursue? We can help. Questions about affordability? We can help.

That is why we are offering our College Access Academy this summer to help you. Students are invited to apply and join us for a one-week residential program on Drexel's campus in Philadelphia. Our goal is to help students, particularly first-generation and/or students of color, receive the tools and resources to begin their college search. The program will be filled with interactive workshops to not only prepare you, but to also empower you as a student and leader within your community.

It is my hope that you take advantage of the opportunities that are offered and consider joining us this summer. Another great aspect of this program is that there is no cost to you. This program is free for all its participants. Free housing in the residence hall. Free meal plans. Free activities. And free to apply. We want to help make a positive impact on rising high school juniors and seniors who may have no idea where to start, and the College Access Academy at Drexel can be your first step.
