What Is the Winter Entry Program?

Everyone is on their own path in life, and some students decide that they want to pursue a collegiate degree later than others. That is okay! Drexel University recognizes that not every student will make this decision during the traditional application timeline of their senior year, so we have provided an alternative option called the Winter Entry Program.

Beginning at Drexel in the winter instead of fall does allow you more time to plan and prepare for your college career.

What is The Winter Entry Program?

The Winter Entry Program is an admission plan that offers first-year students the chance to start their time here during Drexel's winter quarter. That means for this year, the Winter Entry Program will allow students like you to start classes in January of 2024 as opposed to the fall of 2023, allowing more time to prepare. The application for The Winter Entry Program is available on August 1 of every year.

Is The Winter Entry Program Right for You?

Beginning at Drexel in the winter instead of fall does allow you more time to plan and prepare for your college career. Winter Entry is not a transfer program, so you will only be considered if you have not matriculated into a degree-seeking program at another institution prior to January 2024.
