Drexel's New Partnership With YouVisit

One of the landmark experiences of many students' college applications processes is visiting the schools that you are applying to. I remember from my college application process about 10 years ago just how important it was for me to feel safe, comfortable, and energized by the campus communities that I was applying to. When I visited Drexel, I knew right away that it was a place I could succeed. The diversity and energy that streams through Drexel's campus is palpable and is a major reason why I chose to attend Drexel for my undergraduate studies and why I continue to love to work on our University City campus today.

As Drexel has become a more global campus, and as we have dealt with the curveballs of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become increasingly more important to showcase our campus to folks that may not be able to visit us in University City.

With that, we are so excited to introduce Drexel's YouVisit Virtual Tour.

Also, this tour gives you the opportunity to hear from current and former Drexel students as they add depth to the academic, social, and residential spaces that you are exploring. Their stories, spotlighted within the photos and videos, are really the shining star of this experience.

This new interactive tour gives prospective students and families an opportunity to explore what life is like on our Philadelphia campus from anywhere in the world, and with any Internet-abled device. The opportunity to see, both in photo and videos, what the Drexel student experience is like on our campus is incredibly important in deciding if Drexel is the right fit school for you.

The YouVisit tour is a comprehensive virtual tour that grants "visitors" the opportunity to explore our campus at their own pace. The tour highlights important spots around campus where students study, like our Korman Quad, and live, like our Residential Hall quad, and eat, like the Urban Eatery. Within the 15+ stops on the tour, visitors can see all that the Drexel community has to offer.

One of my favorite stops on the virtual tour is the Drexel Recreation Center. Drexel's Rec Center is home to one of the best fitness facilities in Philadelphia and is a hub of activity on our campus. Whether you want to get a great workout in, play basketball or squash with your floor mates, compete in table tennis against some fierce competition, or swim in the Olympic-sized pool, the Rec Center has everything you need.

Another favorite stop of mine is the Baiada Institute within the Close School of Entrepreneurship. Baiada is the heart of entrepreneurial activity on our campus and in University City. It is an amazing co-working space to launch the company of your dreams or support the next big start-up run by Drexel students. Being in a collaborative space like Baiada is so beneficial for our entrepreneurs as they continue to build companies, products, and services that inspire.

The YouVisit tour is far from complete, just like Drexel. Our tour is ever-changing and we are so excited to include more content on this tour over the next few months and into the future as our campus grows and evolves. So, be sure to check back often to see what we have added.

We hope that all interested Dragons are able to come and visit our campus in person safely, but we know that is not always the case. We are so excited to offer this engaging and self-driven tour for prospective Dragons to learn more about our community, neighborhood, and home.
