The Prince of Wall Street
In West Philadelphia, born and raised —
In the bank is where our founder spent most of his days.
Financing, donating, collecting, investing and mentoring JPM outside of Wall Street.
When in the 19th century, AJ thought education should be better than good
And wanted to produce leaders in the neighborhood.
He invested millions of his money for a school he declared,
Produced graduates more experienced and better prepared.
Drexel Institute was very inclusive when,
It had no restrictions on religion, gender, race, socioeconomic status — unheard of back then.
If anything, this was revolutionary in a world where college had been,
Exclusive for the upperclass interested in law, ministry or medicine.
He constructed Drexel Institute on 31st and Chestnut
Waved to Penn, USci — we're neighbors.
Looked at his school, this was truly fate
Like our newest Dragons, his ambition didn't wait.
