About Me
I grew up in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts swimming in lakes and rivers along with hiking and skiing mountains. I have always enjoyed putting myself in different situations and places. So, I had a non-traditional pathway to college which eventually landed me in Philadelphia, a city that I now hold dear. While past hobbies are somewhat limited in Philly, I love having the opportunity to discover so much of the new things here. From sporting events to museums and concerts or even a bike ride around the busy streets to go shopping on Walnut Street or just sitting in Washington Square park — there is a charm this city offers like no other. Philadelphia has become crucial to any introduction I offer of myself.
What advice would you give to a student considering transferring?
This is a very exciting time for students, but it can also be very stressful. There are many deadlines and requirements, especially when applying to multiple schools. Be sure to stay as organized as possible and utilize your resources. Applying to college allows you to share your story with admissions offices, in many instances that's through only a few documents you will be submitting. If there is anything missing from your story, do not hesitate to reach out to us. Also, don't forget to visit campus when you can, even if it's virtually!
Favorites
Place on Campus:
Although I am always in awe of the Picture Gallery in Main Building: I am really enjoying the Academic Quad area on campus. It's always bustling with energy and has that college campus feel.
Restaurant/Food Truck:
I have explored many of the food trucks and think they are great options as many of my colleagues would agree. Every Drexel student, faculty, or staff member has at least one they enjoy. It is impossible to not speak to their popularity on campus. However, I would have to say my favorite restaurant is Osteria. A bit further from campus, but within walking distance from my home which makes it easy to frequent!
Philadelphia Landmark/Location:
I really enjoy Logan square. Sitting near Swann Memorial Fountain listening to the water on a hot day is quite relaxing.
