Placing a Focus on Experience

Experiential education is, as the name suggests, focused on what experience brings to our students and partners. This can take a variety of forms like researching cutting-edge innovations in a lab,  discovering the world around us by learning abroad, and participating in Drexel's renowned cooperative education program, also known as co-op.

For over 100 years, Drexel Co-op has positioned our Dragons to learn directly from the experts and visionaries shaping the professional world. Our program partners with over 1,400 employers from around the globe, ranging from Fortune 500 companies and emerging startups to innovative nonprofits and government agencies and provides students with up to three six-month, full-time professional work experiences. Students can explore potential career paths and build a professional network while gaining invaluable experience and building an impressive résumé — all before graduation. And when you return to class, you'll do so possessing enhanced insights and an advanced practical understanding that can't be found in any textbook, allowing you to serve as a knowledgeable resource for your classmates and instructors.

Continuing a Legacy of Learning

Universally regarded as one of the nation's most respected leaders in experiential education, Drexel has a long and storied tradition of preparing students to make an impact in the world around them. By so closely integrating academics with experience, our University presents students with a truly transformative model that allows them to push beyond all expectations. This is a place that continues to shape leaders, thinkers, and achievers…and we can't wait to see what they will accomplish next.
