The College of Engineering is nationally recognized for its excellence in academics and research, integrating evolving engineering science with emerging fields such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, and information networking.
Students and faculty in the College of Engineering are often involved in cross-disciplinary collaborations within Drexel as well as with universities and companies around the world.
The College of Engineering offers master's and doctoral degrees in many diverse fields as well as several certificates. Most programs offer concentrations within the field, allowing you to specialize and gain expertise. Some programs also offer Graduate Co-op, which enables graduate students to alternate class terms with a six-month period of hands-on experience, gaining access to employers in their chosen industries. Many of the programs are offered on a full- or part-time basis, and some can be completed online.
Drexel is undertaking a bold Academic Transformation designed to align our distinctive strengths, academic structure, and strategic goals with our mission to prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving world. As part of this multi-year initiative, we will transition to a semester calendar, restructure several Colleges and Schools, and bolster our curriculum to better reflect the needs of today’s learners and tomorrow’s leaders. While these changes may lead to updates in academic programs, they are not expected to significantly disrupt students’ current plans of study. Every aspect of this transition is being carefully planned to ensure continuity, with a strong commitment to supporting students throughout the process.
